On Sunday 22nd March, Division 1 and Division 2 players and supporters, travelled by bus to Frances to play the Lower South East Bowls Pennant Grand Final against Mount Gambier RSL Club.
Arriving at the Frances Club at 11-30am, the Frances club had available a BBQ for players and spectators if they wished to have a light lunch before going out to play

All games for both divisions were played over 25 ends.  Before the games started all teams were allowed a 15minute roll-up to get some feel for the speed of the green.
In Division 1 and 2 the standard rule applied with all scores combined for each of the 3 rinks  to determine the over-all winners.

In Division 1 Millicent and Mount Gambier RSL by the half- way mark were very close but Millicent were able to hold on and by the completion of the 25th end the total score for the game was, Millicent 69 shots-11 points to Mount Gambier RSL 57shots 1 point.  This gave Millicent the Premiership in Division 1 for the first time in the history of the club.  What a great achievement.

In Division 2, Millicent also played against Mount Gambier RSL with the same rules applying to the game as   Division 1. At the half time break Mount Gambier RSL held a slight lead over Millicent but Millicent were able to come back and by the end of the 25 ends Millicent Division 2 were able to come out victors and take the title of Premiers for 2026 season with the final score Millicent 70 shots 8points to Mt Gambier RSL 67shots 4 points.

Well done to all players who took part in the Grand Final.
