Scudds/Earl Memorial Shield
On the 14th September the Millicent Bowls Club hosted the Scudds/Earl Shield Day which is played annually between Millicent and Mt. Gambier RSL with games being played over 21 ends. This competition has been running since 2006 with the Mount Gambier RSL winning 17 of the 20 years and Millicent 3 times. Mount Gambier took the honours again this year with a final score from the 12 teams playing, Mount Gambier RSL 234 shots to Millicent 216
The best winning team for Mount Gambier RSL was Alby McIntyre, Noel Miller, Veonica Opie and John Whitley and for Millicent the best winning team was Malcolm Wright, John Drew, Denis Clifford and John Buhlmann.
